Talescape is a world built for storytellers and dreamers, a place where imagination becomes interactive, and every choice tells a story. It is both a creative tool and a living platform, connecting authors ("Bards") and players ("Dreamers") through shared stories, emotions, and ideas.
Talescape gives you everything you need to build, test, and publish your own interactive experiences. You can write dialogue, design scenes, manage variables, and release your work directly to a global audience, all without code.
The Two Sides of Talescape
Bards are the creators: writers, artists, and designers who use the Talescape Editor to build stories. They decide what happens, shape the player's journey, and define how choices influence outcomes.
Dreamers are the players: the explorers who step into those worlds. They read, listen, and decide how each story unfolds. Their actions breathe life into what Bards create.
Together, they form a creative ecosystem: one side imagines, the other experiences.
A World of Interactive Stories
Every story in Talescape is more than text. It can include dialogue, music, art, and even simple puzzles or items, all powered by an intuitive editor designed for writers.
Stories can branch, react to choices, and end in countless ways. You can create quiet personal tales, epic adventures, or philosophical journeys, all under one shared platform.
The Bard’s Path
As a Bard, your journey usually follows five stages:
- Create – Set up your story and its structure.
- Write – Add characters, dialogue, and scenes.
- Connect – Use logic and variables to make it interactive.
- Test – Preview and refine your work until it feels right.
- Publish – Release your story to the Talescape marketplace or a themed contest.

Talescape exists to protect creative freedom while maintaining fairness and respect. You decide what to say and how to say it, as long as it's done with integrity and empathy. The goal is not to limit expression, but to give storytellers a home that values imagination, responsibility, and permanence.
