Talescape accounts are organized into two related systems: Dreamer tiers and Bard tiers. Bard tiers always include the benefits of their corresponding Dreamer tier. This means a Bard automatically receives the Dreamer benefits of the same level.
- Apprentice Bard → Wanderer Dreamer
- Journeyman Bard → Explorer Dreamer
- Maestro Bard → Voyager Dreamer
The Apprentice and Wanderer tiers are free and will always remain free so that anyone can discover or create stories on Talescape. Higher tiers are optional subscriptions that support the platform and unlock additional capabilities.
This system reflects the two sides of Talescape’s community: Bards create worlds, and Dreamers explore them.
Dreamer Tiers
Dreamer tiers focus on the playing experience. They expand save limits, remove ads, and support the platform.

Explanation:
- Commitment Mode: All decisions are permanent. Progress is saved automatically at the beginning of each scene.
- Experiment Mode: Allows manual saves. The number of saves depends on your tier.
- Florins: Florins are tips you can gift to a Bard of your choice. Florins must be spent within the subscription month. Any unused Florins automatically support the platform.
- Support: Support is normally handled through Discord. Priority Support provides access to the in-app support system.
Bard Tiers
Bard tiers expand creation limits and collaboration features in addition to including the corresponding Dreamer tier benefits. The platform fee is capped at 15 % and decreases with higher Bard tiers.

Explanation:
- Visibility Rounds: Boost the visibility of your story. Especially useful right after new releases or to resurface an older story of yours.
- Advanced Collaboration: Discussions directly inside your story with all elements being commentable. Logging for all activity inside your story.
- Advanced Statistics: Advanced statistical tools to analyze the performance of your stories and marketplace pages.
- Tool Integrations: Discord integration and webhooks to add Talescape events to your personal Discord server.
- Support: Support is normally handled through Discord. Priority Support provides access to the in-app support system.
Contest Participation
Contest entries do not count toward your story limit.
Any Bard may participate in contests regardless of tier or the number of active stories currently published. Contests are designed to encourage experimentation and creativity across the entire community.
As described in the platform documentation, Talescape contests are open to all creators and focus on emotional storytelling rather than technical scale.
