When your story is ready, Talescape provides a structured workflow to prepare, publish, and maintain it on the marketplace. This chapter explains how to release your story, set its price, manage updates, and understand how earnings and moderation work, all the way to long-term preservation.
In this chapter, you’ll learn how to:
- Use the Release Workflow – Build and submit a release, handle internal review, and manage versioning.
- Set Pricing & Categories – Choose a price tier, define your Dream Type, and optionally offer a free demo chapter.
- Understand Revenue Split & Payouts – See how earnings are divided between Bards, Talescape, and store platforms, and how payouts are processed.
- Follow the Content Guidelines – Stay within Talescape’s creative and ethical boundaries, including disclosure of AI-generated assets.
- Handle Moderation & Appeals – Learn what happens if your story is flagged or rejected and how to request a review.
- Understand Contingency Plans – Talescape was built to endure. Two complementary protocols ensure that Talescape’s stories remain accessible, even in the most adverse circumstances.
These systems ensure that every published story is stable, transparent, and preserved for the long term, honoring both the Bards who helped build Talescape and the Dreamers who explore it.
